Amy Brightfield is a New York–based Health and Features Director known for her work as a journalist, editor, and producer dedicated to helping audiences live happier, healthier lives. Most recently, she led the award-winning health and lifestyle coverage at Better Homes & Gardens, where her work was recognized by the Society for Professional Journalists, Folio, and the National Press Foundation, which selected her as a fellow.

A trusted on-air lifestyle expert, Amy appears regularly on national television and streaming programs including Live with Kelly and Mark, Good Morning America, the TODAY Show, and Cheddar TV, offering thoughtful, relatable insights on wellness, trends, and everyday living.

Before joining Better Homes & Gardens, Amy served as Health Director at Woman’s Day, where she shaped the brand’s wellness strategy and led its annual heart-health awareness campaign, including production of the Red Dress Awards gala. She has also held editorial roles at Seventeen and Fitness, crafting stories that inform, empower, and inspire diverse audiences.

A native of Augusta, Georgia, Amy holds a BA in English and American Literature from Brandeis University and a Master’s degree in Journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Outside of work, she’s an avid gardener and drummer.
